Celebration of Life Ceremony at 29th Annual DC Vet Homecoming This Weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Racer Productions announces that it will host a Celebration of Life Ceremony this Sunday in conjunction with the 29th Annual DC Vet Homecoming at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. The event, presented by Lojaks Cycle, celebrates the motocross heritage of western Pennsylvania and the memory of High Point founder “Big Dave” Coombs.

The two-day event will feature grand-prix style racing on Saturday and motocross racing on Sunday for a wide selection of vet classes of all skill levels, as well as support classes for our younger racers. Saturday we will kick off the evening with Pit Bike racing, bench race over BBQ, watch vintage movies and sing our hearts out at karaoke with Racer X John.

Sunday throughout the day we will compete on and off the famous High Point racetrack with motocross racing, a Vintage Bike Show, numerous Vintage Contests and a Swap Meet. During intermission we will remember and celebrate the lives of some of our departed friends that helped build the western Pennsylvania motocross scene over the last 40 years.

This year we will celebrate the lives of “Captain Russ” Bennett, former High Point Raceway and Blackwater 100 referee known for his dedication to fairness, crisp white shorts and handlebar mustache; former District 5 semi-pro and original Brownsville High School Motocross Team racer Jeff Provance; June Holliday, wife of Dist. 5 and PAMX officer “Doc” Holliday and mother of Kawasaki Motor Corp. executive and former pro racer Ryan Holliday; and Dr. Charles Hyde, beloved local veterinarian, off-road rider and father of off-road legend, Mark Hyde.

Join us this weekend at the Country Club of Motocross as we race and share memories, laughs and tears with our motocross family.
